Establishing a Scholarship
Providing scholarships for deserving students is one of the most generous acts an individual, family, business or organization can do. Generous donors have found that establishing a scholarship fund through the Foundation is a valuable and meaningful way to support the community, while providing the opportunity to pay tribute to a special person or keep the memory of a loved one alive. Once established, the Hilton Education Foundation promotes the scholarship, selects the recipient and manages contributions to the fund.

Items to Consider
  • Purpose of your scholarship
  • Target recipients (what student groups you wish to reach)
  • Amount to be given annually
  • Endowed or monies collected annually to support scholarship
  • Setting recipient selection criteria
  • Who will be involved in the recipient selection process: your committee, the school district, and/or the Foundation
  • Application deadline
  • When/where award to be presented: Bravo Night, graduation (amount must be over $1000), athletic banquet, etc.
  • HEF can do the following for you:
    • Help with the entire process from start to finish
    • Answer questions as you work to establish your scholarship
    • Financially handle the monies involved or just answer questions and make suggestions for your scholarship
    • Completely manage all aspects of your scholarship
    • Be the vehicle for your scholarship to endure time
